Dambulla | Polonnaruwa Tour | Minneriya Jeep Safari | Dambulla

Dambulla | Dambulla Rock Temple | Spice Garden | Cultural Show | Kandy

After breakfast, visit the Dambulla Cave Temples. (5 caves) dating from 1st C.B.C to 18th C.A.D. These Temples contains the largest painted surface of 21,000 sq. feet of Buddhist murals, the large number of Buddha statues (more than 150), statues of Gods and Kings in the caves. Dambulla Cave Temple was built by King Walagambahu during the 1st Century B.C. Dambulla is a UNESCO world heritage site. There are more than 80 documented caves in the surrounding and the paintings are done on the ceiling. There is a total of 153 Buddha statues 3 statues of Sri Lankan kings and 4 statues of god and goddess. Later you will transfer to Kandy which is the historic kingdom in Sri Lanka and is renowned for the Temple of the Tooth, home to a respected Buddha relic.

En-route you will visit the Spice Garden at Matale. Evening you will see a unique Sri Lankan cultural Dance.

Kandy | Temple of Tooth | Kandy City Tour | Royal Botanical Garden | kandy

After breakfast, visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy, Sri Lanka. It is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, which houses the relic of the tooth of Buddha. After that explore the Kandy city which was the last capital of Sinhala Kings. The valley of Kandy is surrounded by magnificent hills which made it as the last bastion. Today Kandy offers its visitors a rich collection of art and craft and historical buildings. It includes a collection of ancient temples buildings, handicrafts, souvenirs, bazaar and gem museum.

During the evening you will drive to Peradeniya to visit the Royal Botanical Gardens, which are renowned worldwide for their collection of orchids and 4,000 species of plants, many of them medicinal, and the attached National Herbarium of Sri Lanka.

Kandy | Ramboda Waterfalls | Tea Factory & Tea Plantation | Nuwara Eliya

After Breakfast, proceed to the hill station “Little England” where you can see many sites including the Sri Lankan Tea Plantation. The town and surrounding countryside offer many activities for tourists, including visits to tea plantations, golf, horse riding, boating, hiking and exploring the beauty of the landscaped gardens, waterfalls and plateaus. A visual treat is Devon Falls, a spectacular 300ft waterfall named after a pioneer English coffee planter. This and a chain of lesser falls are fed by a river that was dammed upstream to create the Kotmale hydro-electric project en- route you can see the Waterfall with the beautiful sceneries.

Nuwara Eliya | Horton Plains & Worlds End | Seetha Amman Temple | Nuwara Eliya

One of the world’s best nature reserves and eco-tourism venues is Horton Plains National Park, Sri Lanka It is unquestionably. Spanning approximately 10,000 hectares the park is also home to a wide variety of flora. This region was designated a national park in 1988. Large herds of Sri Lankan sambar deer feature as typical mammals and the park is also an Important Bird Area with many species not only endemic to Sri Lanka but restricted to the Horton Plains. World’s End is located in Horton Plains National Park of Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. It is a sheer cliff, with a drop of about 4,000 feet (1,200 m).

It is one of the most visited parts of Horton Plains National Park, and a key tourist attraction place in Sri Lanka. Later visit the Seetha Amaan Temple and evening relax in the hill country.

Nuwara Eliya | Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage | Departure

After breakfast, you will visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, where you will see—and maybe take part in—the feeding and bathing of the young elephants. The orphanage is a nursery and breeding ground for wild Asian elephants and was founded to care for and protect the many un-weaned wild youngsters found abandoned in Sri Lanka.
